Story Stacy Clark

For most of us, the mark we leave on our community doesn’t involve our name on a bridge or our likeness struck in bronze and placed on Main Street. Maybe our mark is the collection of stories our loved ones tell about us time and again. Or maybe it’s the body of work we accumulate over a lifetime, which when considered separately seem like barely noteworthy accomplishments, but when amassed call to mind the word “legacy.”

What about a kind word or act that turns someone’s life around? Well, that sort of thing can echo for a lifetime in a person’s heart.

For the last five years, we’ve celebrated women and men who, through perseverance, ingenuity and sheer force of personality, have made lasting impressions on the people they’ve met and the places they call home —

all of them desiring to endow their communities with a brighter future.

It has been a great pleasure to share the stories and images of those who make our small slice of the world an engaging place to live. Thank you for your kind words, comments and story ideas. Please continue to share them with us. Email them to editor@catfishalleymag.com or visit us on Facebook.
