Story Stacy Clark

Love — of a person or a place or even one’s self moves people to accomplish amazing things.

These pages are filled with ambitious and creative souls who have channeled their love of the land and people of the Golden Triangle to build destinations and safe havens for themselves and others.

Dr. Harry Sherman’s love of the natural world is the origin of Columbus’ Plymouth Bluff Center, a monument to the beauty of the landscape that surrounds us.

Lane Hardy Pierrot followed her heart home when it answered the Prairie’s call and built a home from memories on the land of her childhood in Lowndes County.

With tenacity and a dose of self-love, Aberdeen’s Marsha Ballard survived a marriage plagued by physical abuse and became an inspiration to the women she encountered over 16 years of service with Safe Haven, a shelter for victims of domestic abuse.

Who do you love? Do you know someone whose passion has accomplished something amazing in our community? We want to hear about them.

I invite you to share with us your stories, along with your recipes, comments and event information. Email them to editor@catfishalleymag.com or visit us on Facebook.
